I love orthodontics!

Getting to know each patient as we take a journey together is the most amazing experience. From visit-to-visit I get to hear about their day and adventures, learn of their ever-changing interests and passions, and share in their lives and all that is important to them.

I wake looking forward to all the wonderful conversations I'm going to have and the dynamic, energetic children and teens I'll spend time with. My day is brightened by these exchanges and I appreciate all that my patients bring to my world. Seeing kids grow up, and the changes that happen during those pivotal years, inspire me to continuing growing, too!

One of my favorite moments as an orthodontist is sitting with patients and comparing the pre- and post-treatment photos. To see how far we have come, and being there for each person's "wow!" moment, is deeply rewarding.

As your orthodontist, I am your biggest fan and am rooting for your best smile outcome, as well as your success in life outside of orthodontic treatment!

Education and Experience

I grew up in Singer, Wisconsin, and attended Marquette University where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. Remaining at Marquette, in the School of Dentistry, I then completed my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS), and later my Master of Science (MS), and Certificate of Orthodontics.

Following dental school, I practiced as a general dentist for five years with the US Air Force. I served and treated patients in Ohio, South Korea, and Germany, and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency, too.

  • BS -Marquette University, Biomedical Science
  • DDS - Marquette University School of Dentistry
  • MS- Orthodontic Certificate MS -Marquette University School of Dentistry

Ongoing Learning and Professional Affiliations

Dental school, my time as a general dentist, and my orthodontic specialty residency have given me a solid understanding of oral health and the science and artistry of changing smiles.

However, orthodontics - like all areas of healthcare - is constantly changing. Research leads to new methodologies, innovations in technology, and advancements in patient care and experience. It is my responsibility, and passion, to stay current on the best-researched techniques and new options, in order to provide patients with the highest-quality care and results.

I am a member of the:

  • AAO - American Association of Orthodontists
  • MSO - Midwest Society of Orthodontists
  • WSO - Wisconsin Society of Orthodontists
  • AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) Residency Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio
  • US Air Force Veteran, KUNSAN AFB, South Korea, Spangdahlem AFB, Germany

Along with attending meetings, seminars, lectures, and other continuing educational events I also participate in numerous study groups.

Beyond the Office

If I'm not helping little smiles grow bright and beautiful, I'm usually found with my family. My husband Brent, who's a civil engineer, and I have three young daughters: Violet, Freya, and Zinnia. We love being outdoors, making the most of local parks, bike trails, and the beach. Sundays find us watching movies and eating popcorn.

With three kids it's rare to have much time to myself. I do enjoy cooking, though, and relaxing with a great TV show after the kids have gone to bed.
